Mentoring and Creative Storytelling
I was asked to help create a personal narrative of
12 senior members of the Seattle Polish Community Group. We documented their experiences of being sent to Soviet prison camps as children during WWII. The goal was to generate multimedia materials that would be of interest to middle and high school students world wide.
I worked directly with the senior women (ages 75+) and a group of animation students to create this trailer/teaser fundraiser.
I created the concept and visuals, and worked with recent 3D animation graduates to bring the images to life a 3D world.
This project is now called "A Trip to Nowhere"

Promotion Design and Direction
I was invited to create a promotional
"mockumentary" to introduce a beloved short film
program at the Seattle International Film Festival - called "Fly Films".
3 Seattle based directors were tasked with producing a theme driven 10 minute short film in 5 days. I had the absolute joy of designing and directing this 10 minute introduction to those films. I also built the sets.
The theme was "Film Noir" - and we chose to parody the blatant themes that ran through that era of filmmaking that would never be allowed to exist today.
